A blog introduction – hello!
Hi everyone,
I thought it was about time to add a blog to the LEH Design website, so I can keep you updated with news, opinions and what I’ve been up to. My business is based from home, and my bio and a lot of my SEO mentions web design services in Towcester HERE. So I thought I’d start with a quick introduction to where I live.
I’m based in a rather lovely village called Potterspury, just south of Towcester in south Northants. The village is also just a couple of miles north of Milton Keynes. I’m lucky to have quick access to such an exciting and fast-growing city, which is also a hub for graphic design and website design services.
Potterspury definitely has the elements a thriving village needs – a well-stocked shop, two pubs, a post office, a church, and lots of local and community events. Many of the events are run from the village hall. Like a lot of villages, many of its residents have lived here for decades! The image at the top of this post is of the picturesque village church on a crisp winter’s morning, which gives you a little idea of how peaceful Potterspury is.
There are also plenty of footpaths allowing ready access to the surrounding countryside, which is lucky as we do like exploring the local area. Potterspury has that fortunate combination of being rural enough to be quiet, but still has quick links to local towns and cities such as Towcester, Milton Keynes and Northampton.
The community is served by several websites, which I’ve included below if you’d like more information. After many years of living in Milton Keynes, we are certainly glad we moved here!
Potterspury Parish Council website for all the local news, which includes archives of The Old Mail (the village newsletter) http://www.potterspurypc.org.uk
The Facebook page for the village sports club http://www.facebook.co.uk/pssc
The two village schools also have websites http://www.johnhellins.co.uk and http://www.potterspurypreschool.org.uk
